Simply put. I just paid $165 to check one rod case, one box of tackle, and a regular suit case on a domestic flight with UNITED AIRLINES I can understand some basic fee for checking bags. However, this is extreme. It’s clear the folks at United are looking to gouge customers. Here is why I say this. The person checking in before me had no bags. Therefore, cannot be cost of handling driving such a ridiculous scheme. Perhaps, I should have offered the other traveler $20 to check my thirt bag Would have saved me $125. I encourage all travelers to avoid United Airlines. UNITED AIRLINES is not a customer oriented business.
